Our Teachers

Meet the Teachers at Music Together of Cloquet

Our teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

Jodie is thrilled to become the new director of Music Together of Cloquet!  She is excited to share with area families the experience and joy of making music.  Leading Music Together is a natural extension of her years of administrating a Youth Symphony Orchestra in TX, teaching piano and serving special needs children through music therapy in IA, CO, TX and MN. She is passionate about helping families share precious moments together through music!

Jodie and her husband, along with her four grown kids, all share the special bond of making music and do so when they gather together. They have been known in the past as “The White Family Singers”!  New to Cloquet since 2018, Jodie enjoys the area’s beautiful hiking, biking and snowshoeing trails.  She also enjoys cooking/baking, scrapbooking, serving in her faith community and staying in touch with her adult children. She looks forward to serving families and spending special time together in the musical environment provided through your Music Together classes!

Melissa has been in love with Music Together since she started attending classes in Portland, Oregon in 2017 when her son, Miles, was nine months old. Her family had so much fun singing, dancing and making music with other families that they decided to bring this joy to families in Cloquet in 2019 after moving here the year before. She was overjoyed to transition Music Together of Cloquet to Jodie White and resume the role of a parent in class, though you may see her fill in as a substitute teacher from time to time.

Melissa is family physician at Community Memorial Hospital and loves caring for families and delivering babies! She loves singing and dancing, though is not a virtuoso by any means. She dabbles with piano and ukulele and enjoys playing drums and tambourine in mediocre fashion. Her free time is spent cooking, gardening and adventuring with her husband, Corey, and their young children, Miles and Miranda. They love the great outdoors and are having fun exploring the Northland after an amazing 10 years in Oregon.
